Announcements for Oct. 13-19-08

Life Groups - Our LIFE Group ministries have already started meeting. LIFE Groups are the small group ministry in our church. These groups are our way of living out Acts 2 as a church and for loving one another in all the ways Scripture describes. We are asking all people who would still like to be in a LIFE Group to fill out a card in the narthex. If you are not sure about our LIFE Groups or would like more information, you can grab a booklet in the narthex as well.

Adult Sunday School - If you did not get the book, What Is A Healthy Church Member, please let the office know by filling out the tear-off portion of your bulletin.

Acts Study. Earlier this summer, we discussed an in-depth study of the book of Acts that Grace may offer. Currently, we are planning to start the study just after the first of the year. However, if you are interested in starting the study this fall, Pastor Steve Short (Beamsville Christian Church) is offering this class and has opened it up to people from our church. If you are interested, you need to contact Pastor Steve (547.0009) ASAP, since the class begins in mid-October.

SHAKE - Wednesday, 7-9pm

Women's Study -- Thursday, 9:30am & 7pm

Men’s Prayer Breakfast -- Saturday, 7am

Youth Bonfire - Teens, join us this Saturday, 5pm at Bill & Angie Sowers’s home for a great time of fellowship, food & games.

Special Sunday School - On October 19, we will be sharing information and updating you about our current elder structure. Since this is a vital area of church ministry, we will also devote a time for questions and answers on Oct. 26. Please plan to join us for this informative and encouraging time.

Men’s Backpacking Trip - October 23-26, Red River Gorge, KY. There is a sign-up sheet in narthex. If you have any questions call Jon Knight @ 467-4963.

Car Winterizing - Saturday, November 1, 10:00 – 4:00
This fall we have the opportunity as a church to serve our community by helping them get their cars ready for the winter months. However, we also want to you use this opportunity as an outreach to share more than just news about their cars, but, more importantly, the Good News of Jesus Christ! If you are interested in helping, we are in need of volunteers in many capacities: car savvy people, people to prepare refreshments, and anyone willing to start Gospel-centered conversations. Please sign up at the table if you’re interested.

Coming this fall. The “Weekend to Remember” will be coming to Fort Wayne in October and Columbus in December. If you would like more information, there are brochures on the table in the narthex, or see Dan or Jeni Berger.
