Announcements for April 27-May 3

BAPTISM--Baptism is a wonderful opportunity to make a outward, visible confession of an inward reality of your faith in Christ. If you know Christ as your Savior and have not participated in baptism, you (and our church) are missing out on a tremendous blessing. If you are interested in being baptized, we encourage you to call the office and arrange an appointment to discuss this issue. We are planning a baptism service soon!

DISHES--If you have brought in food for any event, you may have left your dish here. Please go by the kitchen and check the basket. Unclaimed items will be donated to goodwill.

MEN’S FELLOWSHIP--Men come join us this Saturday morning at 7am for our Men's Fellowship breakfast.

PRAISE IN THE PARK--Make plans to join us this summer at the Greenville City Park Band Shell on June 7, July 5 and August 2 at 10am.

VBS--June 14th – 19th
Mark your calendars now to attend this year’s V.B.S.

HAPPY CAMPERS--Are you looking for a summer camp experience where your child can have fun and grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus? We've got two options for you. Our Tristate District of Grace Brethren Churches is offering "Creation Adventure" July 12th-17th. Skyview Ranch is also offering camps five different weeks in the summer. If interested in either camp (we'd recommend either one!), you can check in the church office for information or check out their websites. (tristatecamp.com or skyviewranch.org)

Summer Schedule starts May 24
1st service 9:00am - 10:15am
2nd service 10:45am - noon
No Sunday School

GRADUATION--Do you have a son/daughter graduating from school this coming year? We would love to recognize them during our May 24th service. If you would like their “open house” and graduation announced, we need to receive a picture, graduation information, and open house schedule as soon as possible. Deadline is May 17th.

ELDER LEADERSHIP--The elder team would like to present Marshall Gipe to the church body as one who desires to be an elder. While Scripture says it is an honorable thing to desire the office of an elder (1 Timothy 3:1), the chapter goes on to lay out very specific guidelines for elder leadership (3:1-7). We would encourage you to examine this passage (along with Titus 1 and 1 Peter 5, among others) and also Marshall’s testimony. As elders, we desire to know if you can affirm Marshall’s qualifications for elder leadership. Would you please consider these texts, examine Marshall’s life and then share your confirmations or concerns with a current elder?
